Grandma's Dinner

Hey Lazy Shits!

This Friday is my grandma's birthday and we're going out for dinner. We're going to a wok/Chinese restaurant. Since my cousins are all stylish, I have to my utmost best to look stylish too....in my lazy way.

Since we're going to a Chinese restaurant I can expect lot's of food, which means: food belly.
The best remedy for a food belly is loose fitting clothes.
How to pull of loose fitting, food belly hiding, clothes? Simple, you just need to remember the rule: If something is loose, something needs to be tight. You can do it in 3 different ways

  1. A t-shirt dress is perfect for concealing your food belly, any belly even. This missguided dress is perfect for that "I look fancy as shit and I'm comfortable" look, as I call it.
The dress is loose so in this case the legs must be tight.  If it's cold, like now then you can pair the dress with tights or over-the-knee socks. Some pair of boots, a chunky necklace and voila!

As for make-up try a bold dark lip like in the picture. If you keep the rest of your make-up to mascara and a bronzer, everything shouldn't be too overwhelming.
    Dress 23 euro / 30 dollar
    Necklace 21 euro /  28 dollar
    Shoes  35 euro

  2. The second style is a dress which is tight on the top, boob area (If you want to show them of) and flows out in a skater style skirt. It makes you legs look skinnier too. The top part of the dress is tight and the bottom part is loose so the rule is applied! You can pair this sort of dress with a leather or jeans jacket, some tights and kick-ass boots (try them with chunky socks). A beanie could go with this, but if you want to stay fancy, try a hairband. You could also pull your hair up in a high ponytail.

For this outfit, winged eyeliner should have the spotlight. You could go as far a smokey, depends on how fancy the restaurant is. As for the lips, you can go 2 ways, the red lip way for a somewhat bolder look or a nude lip for the smoldering look.
    Dress 68 dollar
    Moto Jacket 36 euro
    Boots 33 euro / 43 dollar
  3. The final style you could wear is the top loose and the bottom tight.
A loose sweater or t-shirt over some skinny jeans would be perfect.
Heeled boots or just heels will give that extra fanciness should you need it. Spiked heeled boots would be the prettiest in my opinion.
It will give you some toughness midst the girlishness.
If you feel like you're outfit is somewhat dull, do something with your hair. Doing  something nice with you hair, like a twisted top know or french braid to the side, will give any outfit that something special. Try hairbands with a bow or sparkly hairpins.

The make-up should be a little bit girlish with this outfit. A (nudy) pink lip with tight-lined eyeliner, mascara, sparkly eyeshadow in the corners of your eyes and a pinkish blush on the cheeks. To give you a fresh look, not a "I just woke up and put this on" look.
    Top 21 euro / 27 dollar
    Jeans 31 euro / 41 dollar
    Shoes 40 euro / 53 dollar

As for what I'm wearing?
I'm doubting between 2 outfits:

I'm thinking to go with the dress, it's birthday party after all. The dress and purse will make it fancy but the chunky boots and leather jacket will make it more me.

Talk to you soon!
